Database Specialist

Database Specialist is offered as an Associate Degree of Applied Science or as a diploma program. The Computer Information Systems program includes general education courses and fundamental occupational courses.

The Database Specialist associate degree and diploma programs ares a sequence of courses designed to provide students with an understanding of the concepts, principles, and techniques required in database management. Program graduates are to be competent in the general areas of humanities or fine arts, social or behavioral sciences, and natural sciences or mathematics, as well as in the technical areas of computer terminology and concepts, program design and development, and computer networking. Program graduates are qualified for employment as database specialists.

Associate Degree Admissions Requirements

Applicants must meet general admissions requirements and also must:

  1. Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma, GED, or college degree.

  2. Present acceptable ASSET, COMPASS, SAT, ACT, or CPE scores taken within the last five years or transfer of program level English and math from a regionally accredited college or university with a grade of C or better.
