What is Diesel Equipment Technology?
The Diesel engine is the workhorse powering the Nation's trucks and buses, because it delivers more power and is more durable than its gasoline-burning counterpart. Diesel-powered engines also are becoming more prevalent in light vehicles, including pickups and other work trucks.
Why Choose Diesel Equipment Technology?
The Diesel Equipment Technology program is a six-quarter (full-time) sequence of courses that prepares the student for entry into the Diesel powereed vehicle/equipment services and repair profession. The program emphasizes a combination of Diesel theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.
The program is a technically advanced program that provides the student with the knowledge and skills for profession to become a certified technician in the Diesel powered truck industry. Training in advanced electronics and modern technologies play a vital role in the comprehensive Diesel training program. The program prepares the student to pass ASE truck technician certification tests.
How Do I Get Started?
Applicants must meet the general admissions requirements and must also:

Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma, GED, or college degree.

Present acceptable ASSET, COMPAS, SAT, ACT, or CPE scores taken within the last five years or transfer of program level English and math from a regionally accredited college or university with a grade of C or better.

Present documentation of a valid driver's license.
