What is Diesel Equipment Technology?

The Diesel engine is the workhorse powering the Nation's trucks and buses, because it delivers more power and is more durable than its gasoline-burning counterpart.  Diesel-powered engines also are becoming more prevalent in light vehicles, including pickups and other work trucks.

Why Choose Diesel Equipment Technology?

The Diesel Equipment Technology program is a six-quarter (full-time) sequence of courses that prepares the student for entry into the Diesel powereed vehicle/equipment services and repair profession.  The program emphasizes a combination of Diesel theory and practical application necessary for successful employment.

The program is a technically advanced program that provides the student with the knowledge and skills for profession to become a certified technician in the Diesel powered truck industry.  Training in advanced electronics and modern technologies play a vital role in the comprehensive Diesel training program.  The program prepares the student to pass ASE truck technician certification tests.
