This program is a one-year (full-time) sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the welding industry. Training areas include shielded metal arc welding, gas tungsten arc welding, oxyacetylene welding and cutting, and common joining processes. Program graduates receive a diploma.
WELDING AND JOINING TECHNOLOGY DIPLOMA
Competencies achieved in the study of welding and joining meet qualification criteria for national welding and joining code standards. Program graduates receive a diploma. Diploma Admissions Requirements: Applicants must meet general admissions requirements, and must also:
Present official documentation of an earned high school diploma, GED, or college degree.
Present acceptable ASSET, COMPASS, SAT, ACT or CPE scores taken within the last five years or transfer of program level English and math from a regionally accredited college or university with a grade of C or better.
