On-going Recruitment / To Build an Applicant Pool Position: Adult Literacy and GED Instructor Positions include basic, intermediate, and GED preparatory level instruction in the areas of reading, writing, and math. Position: English as a Second Language Instructor Positions include basic, intermediate, and advanced English language instruction. The Griffin Technical College Adult Literacy Department is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment appointed on a quarterly basis. The Adult Literacy Program offers literacy and GED instruction in Butts, Fayette, Jasper, Lamar, Pike, and Spalding counties. ESL instruction is offered in Fayette and Spalding counties. Qualifications for teaching positions with the Adult Literacy Department include a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in the teaching discipline or a related field. English language instructors should have experience teaching English as a second language. Preference will be given to particular teaching disciplines which are relevant to the positions that become available and prior teaching experience.
