Application Policy & Procedures
A completed Griffin Technical College employment application is required for all position openings. You can download the application here or pick one up from the GTC Personnel Office, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

A SIGNATURE is required for the application, so the downloaded version must be signed and returned by fax or mail.

FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT:
It is the policy of Griffin Technical College to only accept applications for announced job vacancies. The College does not accept unsolicited employment applications for full-time employment. All application materials must be received in the Personnel Office by 4:30 pm on the listed closing date. If the closing date is listed as "open until filled", applications will continuously be accepted and reviewed until a suitable candidate is hired.

While all qualified applicants will be considered, personal interviews will be granted only to those applicants whose experience and/or education most closely match the needs of the position. All candidates will be notified when the vacancy has been filled. Applications of unsuccessful candidates will be retained for three years.

PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT:
Griffin Technical College is continuously seeking qualified candidates for adjunct faculty teaching positions. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions of employment appointed on a quarterly basis. The following credentials are required for teaching positions at GTC:

  • Technical Programs - Associate's degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Business, CIS, Developmental - Bachelor's degree in field required; Master’s degree preferred. Prior teaching experience preferred.

  • Allied Health Programs, Diploma/Degree - Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • General Core degree courses - Master's degree required in the teaching discipline or a Master's degree with 18 semester hours in the teaching discipline or equivalent.

  • General Core diploma courses - Bachelor's degree in field required; Master's degree preferred.
Applicants should submit a letter of application, resume, and all college transcripts to the GTC Personnel Office. Unofficial transcripts are accepted for the application process, but official transcripts will be required upon hire for all faculty positions. Solicited applications for adjunct faculty positions will be retained for three years. Unsolicited applications for adjunct faculty positions will be retained for one year.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES
Male applicants between the ages of 18 and 26 years of age must present proof of Selective Service Registration.

EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTS
Current federal law requires employment eligibility verification prior to employment. One or more of the following documents must be presented to Human Resources prior to being hired: Social Security card; State driver's license; Certification of U.S. birth; U.S. passport or other approved U.S. government documents.
