High-School to College $300 Textbook Scholarship The Griffin Technical College Foundation High School-to-College Textbook Scholarship is a $300 textbook scholarship awarded to a recent high school graduate who is planning to attend Griffin Technical College as a full-time or part-time student enrolled in a certificate, diploma, or degree program of study. GED/Advancement-To-College Textbook Scholarship The Griffin Technical College GED/Advancement-to-College Textbook Scholarship is a $250 textbook scholarship awarded to a recent Griffin Tech GED graduate who scored over 500 on the GED test and who has enrolled as a full-time student at Griffin Technical College. The student must be enrolled in a diploma or degree program. Certificate programs do not qualify for this scholarship. Scholarship funds are not paid directly to the student. The $250 award is used to set up an account in the student’s name with the Griffin Technical College Bookstore. Any funds not used during the awarded quarter will be held in account at the bookstore for use the following quarter. This scholarship is provided through the generous donations of faculty and staff at Griffin Technical College during the Annual Internal Fundraising Campaign. John Bradley Memorial Toolbox Scholarship The Griffin Technical College John Bradley Memorial Toolbox Scholarship is a $250 scholarship awarded for the purchase of program-required tools, uniforms, equipment, and/or supplies to a currently enrolled, full-time Griffin Technical College student with a 2.5 GPA or higher who is completing a diploma or degree program. Certificate programs do not qualify for this scholarship. Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance in purchasing the required tools. Scholarship funds are not paid directly to the student. The $250 award is used to purchase tools directly from approved equipment vendors on the student’s behalf. This scholarship is provided through the generous donations of faculty and staff at Griffin Technical College during the Annual Internal Fundraising Campaign. The Griffin Technical College Tuition/Completer Scholarship is a $500 tuition/fees/books scholarship awarded to a currently enrolled Griffin Technical College student with a 2.5 GPA or higher who is NOT eligible for the HOPE Grant/Scholarship or PELL grant financial aid. Applicants for this scholarship may also include those who have capped-out on HOPE financial aid and are in the last or second-to-the-last quarter of study. Certificate programs do not qualify for this scholarship. Scholarship funds are not paid directly to the student. The $500 award is used to set up an account in the student’s name with the Griffin Technical College Business Office and the Griffin Technical College Bookstore. Tuition and fees will be paid first; any remaining funds will be sent to the bookstore to purchase course-related materials only. Any funds not used during the awarded quarter will be returned to the Foundation scholarship fund. This scholarship is provided through the generous donations of faculty and staff at Griffin Technical College during the Annual Internal Fundraising Campaign.
