BLACKBOARD COURSES AT GRIFFIN TECHNICAL COLLEGE

Steps for Taking an Online Course

  1. Register for your online course.

  2. You will not have access to the course until the first week of class, which is March 31-April 4. Classes will not be made available until March 31st.

  3. During the first week of class, Marc 31 - April 4, you will need to log into the course.  Once you enter the course, you can get your first assignment.  You should also e-mail your instructors to give them your correct e-mail address and to verify your first assignment.  Note: If you do not log in to Blackboard and e-mail your instructors during this first week, you may be dropped from the course for not "attending" class.

  4. To log into your course, go to http://gvtc7.blackboard.com.

  5. Enter your user name and password.

  6. Follow the directions, and a list of your courses will appear.  Simply click on the one you wish to enter.  You must enter each class you are enrolled in and contact the instructor, via e-mail, for each class.  Logging into one class and e-mailing that one instructor does not give you attendance for all the classes.

User Name and Password Information

Your user name and password information is changing for Spring quarter.  Your user name and password will be the same thing.  It is now 31_plus your student ID.  So, if your Student ID is 900011111, your user name and password will be 31_900011111.  Once you enter the course, you can change your password.

Do You Need Assistance?

The first person to contact if you need assistance is your instructor. Please email them with any concern or question you may have. Please give them at least 24 hours to reply to you. If you email on Friday, it may be Monday before you receive a reply.

Please know that the first week of class is crucial, but busy. You need to log into your course and send an email to your instructor (for attendance). However, if you have problems, please be patient. The instructor will get on track within a few days of the quarter beginning.
