Georgia Work Ready links education and
workforce partners within a community,
offering a common language to help them
communicate about job skill requirements
needed to develop employees and build a
better workplace. Three WorkKeys
assessments -- Reading for information,
Applied Mathematics, an Locating
Information -- will measure foundational
job skills needed for a wide variety of
jobs across the state and the nation.
The Georgia Office of Workforce
Development, in cooperation with the
Georgia Chamber of Commerce has selected
WorkKeys by ACT to benchmark required
skills. The Work Keys system , including
job profiling and both foundational and
personal skills assessments, is used by
thousands of companies worldwide as a
tool to help employers select hire,
train, develop and retain the
high-performance workforce necessary to
compete successfully in today's global
economy. The WorkKeys system offers the
people of Georgia the most extensive
database available on the skills of U.S>
workers, with more than 13,000 job
profiles and more than 10 million
assessments already administered.
The Georgia Work Ready credential
program combines a measure of cognitive
performance and work habits to provide
reliable, relevant information about
employees' and applicants' skill levels.
When you compare this assessment
information with he skill benchmarks
required for you jobs, you will be able
to make solid decisions about your
workforce. Georgia Work Ready provides a
comprehensive system to refine your
applicant pool, match candidates to
jobs, and identify skill gaps that could
hinder productivity.
