Now With Microsoft 2007! Introduction to Computers This course introduces the student to computer terms, equipment, data storage and simple file tasks. Student will have limited exposure to operating systems, spreadsheets and word processing. Introduction to Windows VISTA This course is for beginners or previous users of Windows waning to become familiar with VISTA. Students will review navigational skills, shortcuts, maintenance, computer settings (including mouse, date & time, and screen savers) and document and file management. Excel Level I Students are taught the basic functions needed to work with the Microsoft Excel Software. Topics include spreadsheet design, enhancing the look of a spreadsheet, entering formulas, using function statements, working with multiple worksheets, and crating charts. Excel Level II Advanced topics are presented in this class. Topics include naming cells, advanced function statements, outlining a spreadsheet, inserting comments, protecting a worksheet, working with multiple files simultaneously, and recording a macro. |

Computer Classes for the Young
at Heart Introduction to Computers Overcome your fear and get started! We'll start at the beginning and proceed with hands on practice in a friendly atmosphere. Students will learn how to "talk the talk" by becoming familiar with basic computer terms. Make friends with the keyboard and mouse and see how computers can make life easier and more fun! Introduction to Windows VISTA "Windows" is a Microsoft program that allows a computer user to communicate with the compute an d "point and click" his way around his computer without having to know any complicate "computer language." This course is for beginners or previous users of Windows. Learn navigation skills, how to create shortcuts, how to personalize computer features, how to maintain and enhance the computer's performance, and how to create and manage files and documents. Browsing the Internet Learn about finding website, reading a web page, and creating bookmarks fro those sites to visit again. SAVE ASTAMP and learn to use e-mail to communicate with friends and family. Browsing the internet is easy and a great way to gather information about health, vacation spots, company listings and serves, and a lot of other information. Basic knowledge of Windows and a compute mouse is recommended. |
