Forklift Training

Forklift Train the Trainer
This course is for forklift operators seeking to gain certification allowing them to train others in forklift safety and operation.  Proof o current Forklift Certification is required at the time of registration.

Forklift Safety and Certification
This OSHA compliant course is designed for individuals needing to learn or update skills for operation a forklift.  IT includes classroom instruction and supervised hands-on operation of a forklift.

Small Engine Repair

OFFERED AT THE NEW BUTTS COUNTY CENTER!

This is a basic course on small engine construction, operation, lubrication requirements, and preventative maintenance practices, servicing techniques, an rebuilding procedures.

Truck Driver Training

Commercial Truck Driving Class A - refresher Course - (48 hour) course
If you have been out of work or haven't driven in the last 2 years, this class will help you get back in the driver's seat.  Come and sharpen the skills needed to be a CDL driver.  Current CDL License required.

CDL Class B - Certified Commercial Straight Truck & Passenger Driving
FREE TRAINING for this program for those who qualify for HOPE!
This program will train student to drive straight trucks (delivery trucks, busses, rout trucks, concrete mixers, tankers, dump trucks, etc.) and operate a variety of truck attachments and equipment.  This course does not include long haul/over the road driving or 18-wheelers.

CDL Upgrade

Defensive Driving

Studies show that participants in National Safety Council DDC training can expect to reduce collisions, personal injury, and traffic law violations by up to 70%.  Designed for adults and teenagers, this class will likely pay for itself many times over in reducing insurance premiums, injury and accidents.  Most major insurance companies allow a rate reduction upon successful completion.  Whether a business owner, parent, or a safety-minded individual, this course should be tops on the list for lowing risks and costs while increasing peace of mind.  Taught by a NSC certified instructor,  Topics include: recognizing preventable collisions, identifying driving hazards, the DDC Collision Prevention Formula, common drive errors, drugs, drinking and driving, driver behavior, proper passing techniques, split-second decision making, and handling adverse driving conditions.
This course is NOT intended to provide point reaction O)R re-instatement of Drivers' License.
This course DOES NOT meet the Joshua's Law requirements.

Here's your chance to increase your employment opportunities by learning to operate a backhoe, skid steer loader and a trackhoe.  OSHA safety standards will be covered as well as equipment operation and maintenance and the trenching and shoring of ditches.
