SkillsUSA is a national student organization which serves
industrial, technical, and health occupation students. Leadership,
dignity of work, good workmanship, citizenship, and respect for others
is emphasized. Local winners compete in regional, state, and
national competitions.

YOU REALLY ‘CUT UP’ At SKILLSUSA
NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE
Please congratulate 4th quarter Cosmetology Student, Brittany
Jones.
She placed in the top 10% at the National SkillsUSA Leadership
Conference this past June. Competition was extremely fierce
in Cosmetology with many students older and with much more experience
than Brittany.
The skills she had to perform included cuts, styles, and hair coloring
on both, Men and Women. She also had to pass a knowledge test.
When time was up Brittany’s cuts and
styles were judged harshly, and then judged again as the judges
attempted to decide the winners.
