GOAL-The
Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership
The Georgia Occupational Award of Leadership (GOAL) recognizes
and rewards excellence among students enrolled in postsecondary
technical institutes in the state of Georgia. It is co-sponsored by the
Georgia Chamber of Commerce and the Department of Technical and Adult
Education.
Finalists are selected from each technical institute and compete in an annual competition held in Atlanta. The Griffin Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the program at Griffin Tech. GOAL nominees are rewarded with recognition and opportunities to speak at local events. The GOAL winner from Griffin Tech is called upon to represent the school at various community events.
